May be a bit rough in some areas, but my beloved Budapest has finally jumped out of the 2D world in Google Earth. Most of the buildings were generated automatically from aerial photographs taken from different angles. We are living in exceptional times.
Ugyan néhol kicsit pixeles, néhol kicsit pontatlan, de hőn szeretett Budapestem végre térben is körbejárható a Google Earth-ben. Ráadásul az épületek nagy részét légifotók alapján, minimális emberi közreműködéssel készítették el. Csodálatos korban élünk.
I had a post earlier this year about images of Saturn taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, but now I have found an even more dramatic view of the ringed planet. The photo-mosaic was taken by the Cassini Orbiter probe, and the detail in the original 7227×3847 pixel image is amazing (download the .tiff file here – .jpg sucks). Írtam már korábban is a Szaturnuszról, de ez a mostani kép minden eddiginél lélegzetelállítóbb. Főleg az eredeti 7227×3847 pixeles méretben (a .tiff file-t kell letölteni innen – a .jpg szar). Az Univerzum gyönyörű :)
